How a birthdate becomes a stitched number

A Life Path number comes from a birth date. Add every digit of the month, day and year together, then keep adding the digits of the result until one digit is left. The three master numbers, 11, 22 and 33, are the exception: they stop where they are rather than reducing. It is the number numerology treats as the main one.

An example birthdate

How the birthdate 03/17/1999 reduces to Life Path 3.

  1. Add every digit of the date, 0 plus 3 plus 1 plus 7 plus 1 plus 9 plus 9 plus 9. That gives 39.
  2. 3 plus 9 is 12.
  3. 1 plus 2 is 3.
